Christmas happens at the exact same time every year. So, why are we so shocked when it comes around so quickly? The month of December is usually jam packed with running around sorting gifts, dinners and outfits! But shouldn't we get ahead of the curve and start prepping a little earlier?

Getting ahead of the curve seems like a simple plan; Buy a little every week and then you can sit and enjoy all that December offers! - Family meet ups, Christmas Party's and crisp winter days out! So it's only logical to start early! Getting ahead of the curve means; no mad shopping trips, no big queue's and crowded buildings! Sounds a little too good to be true!

Some might argue that the earlier you start the more you spend, and in many cases that is true! But what is stopping us setting a budget and sticking to it? That's easy for me to say because I have no self control when it comes to spending whatsoever!

We also have to take into consideration that a lot of the winter and Christmas style doesn't hit stores until November so your Christmas outfits will have to wait!

So, the next step is how to prep!

Get started good and early with your Christmas present lists, that way there is less of a risk to over spend, and future you will thank you! This way you hopefully wont forget anyone and have to make a very last minute trip and pay double on Christmas eve!

Try to buy early and make sure to take advantage of sales like Black Friday and Cyber Monday!

Of course you can't start buying food in November so it has to wait to a little closer to the time. But, you can write a list! (Always get extra stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy!) And please make sure to contact your butcher as soon as they release their Christmas order list, or you run the risk of getting no turkey!

The rule of thumb with Christmas is that Christmas calories DON'T COUNT! So buy the brie, get that extra tub of celebrations and definitely get extra stuffing!
